Senior Executive Club

The Senior Executive Club is an exclusive club at ISB, open only to students with more than eight years of work experience. The club aims to build careers in senior management. To that end, the club:

• Liaisons with corporate leaders and stays abreast of career opportunities for senior students
• Serves as a medium of learning and development for members to leverage on the vast professional experience and skill sets of club members
• Networks and builds relations with alumni for mutual support

Key initiatives

Personal roadmap: The Senior executive club prepares a personal roadmap for each club member. The profile of each member is evaluated and then mapped with their post-ISB career aspirations. Further, a shortlist of target companies is prepared which is followed up with interview preparation to get those dream jobs.

Mapping with CAS members: The club maps the CAS (Career Advancement Services aka placement cell) representatives with each club member, based on their career aspirations. This helps them get the really sought after senior roles they seek post-ISB.

Interaction with PGPMAX students: The club facilitates interaction with the PGPMAX students who usually have more than 10 years of work experience, resulting in networking and mutually beneficial exchange of ideas.

One School, Two Campuses – One Club: The club also ensures regular interaction between the members across both campuses. This results in exchange of ideas and ensures that the experience of members at both campuses is similar - key takeaways from each session shared in the monthly meetings.

Learning and development: The club conducts resume reviews and mock interview sessions, including alumni interaction to help prepare well for the placement season. Given the different nature of the roles targeted by the club members, senior alumni are invited to provide specific guidance for a career in senior management.

In the class of 2016, the club had members ranging from 9 to 20 years of experience spanning Automotive, IT, Manufacturing, E-commerce, Infra and Finance industries.

Continuous interaction with CAS and various networking sessions helps club members in a remarkable way. Hence, the club plays a pivotal role in ensuring that senior executives get the roles of their choice. Above all, the small club size leads to immense bonding and friendships that last a lifetime!
