MFAB or the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Family Business is a 15-month course aimed at candidates with a background in family business. The program is designed from the perspective of a business owner and allows participants to imbibe the critical business concepts and leadership traits required to run a family business. The focus in this program is largely on entrepreneurship, on sustaining a business and on leading business growth. The MFAB helps participants from this background to maximize the potential of their business by running it with professional acumen.
As in the PGPMAX program, the classes for this program are also held for one week, every 6th week. The advantage of such a spread allows participants to implement the classroom learning regularly, while at work. Participants get to interact and learn from world renowned faculty from leading business schools like Kellogg, London Business School and Wharton. The programme also allows participants to experience learning in a truly global context through the international immersion facility. A significant advantage of the MFAB is the diverse class profile, allowing participants the invaluable convenience of interacting with participants placed in different industries across the country.
MFAB is, therefore, a unique opportunity for the young scions of emerging or successful businesses, to update themselves with the latest management tools, network with business enthusiasts from across the country and gain practical insights into best practices across industries – and do all this without having to stay away from the day-to-day functioning of their business.
